Weekly Classes
For Runners (and Non-Runners)

6 Week Yoga for Runners Course at Triyoga, Primrose Hill (map)
Saturdays October 4th-November 8th 2:00-3:15pm
£75
Booking (through Triyoga) Please click here.

This course for beginners and continuing students will explore the benefits of yoga from the point of view of the runner/athlete.  Over the 6 weeks we will explore the wonderful repertoire of postures and breathing exercises available to us – some traditional, some more contemporary and creative  -- with the focus on lengthening and strengthening the hamstrings, hips, , spine, calves, ankles and feet for overall well being, balance, focus and positive body awareness.

Working slowly at first, sometimes with propers or partners, the focus will be on alignment, understanding the benefits of postures from an anatomical position and exploring the breath-mind-body connection.  We’ll then build more dynamic sequences, including powerful sun salutations for strength and stamina and incorporate Pilates exercises for core strength and pelvic stability – a key factor in maintaining health movement patterns in running.

Postures will be discussed in relation to running and other sports, and questions will be answered.

A great way to supplement your training and sort out traditional athletic niggles and learn how to prevent them, in a relaxed, non-competitive and supportive environment.

General Regular Group classes (not specifically for runners) are also held at
